If you’re supporting many network devices, I’m sure at some point you’ve come across a device for which you didn’t know the password. In this case, I’m talking about a Canon printer. If you lost the admin password, here’s a quick way to reset it.
1- Reset your printer network connection by pressing the “Stop” button until the “Alarm” lights flashes 17 times, then release the “Stop” button.
2- Access the printer Administration interface. You shouldn’t be prompted for a password, since you just reset the settings to factory default.
3- Give the Admin a password by clicking “Security->Reset Administrator Password” next time you will be prompted for a password, so better remember this time!
