Installing and Configure DHCP in Windows Server 2012 Part 1
August 11, 2015
This is the first part of a series of two video tutorials I made. This first part is mostly about plainning and installing DHCP in Windows Server 2012. Yes, eventhough installing DHCP server is pretty straight forward and simple, if you don’t take the time to do some planning on your network configuration, then your DHCP installation can become useless. One example is if your network keeps growing and you run out of IP’s. So take the time to do a bit of planning before installing DHCP, and setting up your scope. In this video, I didn’t do a full blown planning of my network; rather, I just went over a few consideration, before installing and setting up your scopes in DHCP. In other words, you need to take a look at your ip settings, your network capacity for grow, any reservations you might want to use (printer, wireless routers, etc). Once the planing face is done, then you can proceed in installing and configure your DHCP server.
